Whole flyer capsule for my own

February 24th, 2009

Today, I finally had my first time. Not exactly it’s such a thing to be made known. But I had my first time with someone special on the flyer with the whole capsule for our own. Except for the irritating part of having to explain again and again and time wasting on the information counter of Flyer. What exactly happen is that I’ve opted to refund one of my ticket and scheduled one ticket since yesterday. Yet when I arrive to be made known that I’ve got 2 tickets for today instead. It’s not only troublesome but eating into the time when I could have more time with her.

Time is just a luxury for us. That’s why I really treasure every moment with her. Not to mention my another half taking one full day from me away  from her. Luckily she’s quite ok about sharing me with others.

Well to book the whole capsule, it will actually work out to 1.5k and yet we get it free for 2 tickets worth 60 bucks. It’s a good move considering I don’t have to squeeze with others during xmas eve or vday.

Everything is perfect. The night view of Singapore is spectacular especially the ship moving in the same direction along the straits. The Marina Barrage as well as the Suntec city.

p.s: credit to the special one for making tonight so special

S’pore Flyer reopens

January 28th, 2009

sg flyerFinally after months, flyer is operating. I am not sure if I’m suay or fortunate cos I got the 24th Dec ticket. Just an advice, make sure you do all your “business” before you go up. Just in case la… you wouldn’t find it exciting having to do these things with so many others looking at you.

S’pore Flyer reopens: “THE world’s biggest observation wheel was set to reopen on Monday after a pre-Christmas fire trapped assengers for hours and led to a one-month shutdown of the attraction, its operators said.

‘We anticipate to be hosting passengers from 11am onwards,’ a spokeswoman for the Singapore Flyer told AFP.

In a press release, the Flyer said it had obtained, late Sunday, the licence allowing it to operate again.”

A real letdown for SG Flyer

January 4th, 2009

I was disappointed by the efficiency of Singapore Flyer management in getting the flyer to operation. It has been stopping for quite some time, exactly 12 days ago.

Considering I booked my tickets more than a month in advance for a romantic xmas eve, and having to wait for so many days because of the breakdown is quite really a letdown. Sigh~

The flyer management should also come out to be more vocal about the incident as well as to appease the customers who have already bought the tickets. Imagine how much disruption is caused to the people involved. No one would be happy having to receive a call from SG Flyer at 5pm for 6pm flight time to be informed of the flyer’s inability to operate, knowing that xmas eve is a special day for couple. Fortunately, I got friends who informed me about it and I had to checked the website for update. Another negative point to comment is their phone system cos I find it rather rude for the voice message to be structured in the way that as soon as the voice has stopped, I was immediately cut off.

On the side note, Cathay do really have to upgrade their system because I can’t get a ticket at 11pm because I have to wait 2-3 mins for each page to load! It took me 30 mins without getting any tickets. Waiting till 5 pm to get the ticket is also not an option, cos I would already be in trouble because it is a public holiday.

I think it’s a dent in Singapore reputation to becoming a tourism hub, considering so many international papers has also reported about SG Flyer.

The lesson learnt is to build contingency plan if whatever stuff you do. I’m quite lucky my plan B actually works. There is so many things to consider that will go wrong when Murphy acts. No matter what happens, breathe in, keep cool and think of other options.

Flyer stays shut

December 25th, 2008

Seems like my curse is quite accurate. I think for me personally, I really don’t like the idea of having to find them instead of them taking the initiative to contact the customer first in the morning. Who know it may be a special day for someone? Calling at 5pm when the flight time is 6pm is not really a nice gesture in return.

Flyer stays shut: ”

THE Singapore Flyer is likely to stay shut until at least the New Year as investigations get underway into what caused the six-hour breakdown on Tuesday which required rescuers to lower 11 stranded passengers to the ground by rope.

Yesterday, tourists and locals hoping for a sky-high view of Singapore from the world’s largest observation wheel were turned away as the Flyer stayed shut by order of the Singapore Police Force.”

Sg Flyer stop flying

December 24th, 2008

Alright, this isn’t any good news. But being stuck in the Sg Flyer is not a bad idea. Cos instead of staying in the cabin for 30 mins, you can stay there longer! More value for money right?

But this isn’t the first time it has stop operating. Fyi, this project is

worth about S$240 million (US$171 million) and is a private venture backed mainly by German investors

After pumping in so much money, we still got technical fault of such frequency. Wondering how the others that is suppose to be up there to celebrate with their love ones during that few hours when the flyer is suppose to operate will feel about it.

Actually this is also more exciting that the flyer itself. Don’t you think so. It’s been a long time since I have done this.

Well done, for people who don’t know, it is just part of the rehearsal for xmas eve lor. Who knows xmas eve will stop once and xmas will also stop again.

Touch wood touch wood.
