Some of my peers in New Hampshire are having difficulty finding presents for their relatives. Because it’s made in China! Out of all the stuff he bought, only two of them are made in USA.
Well the girls made a good point stating that they wouldn’t want their relatives to hold their present asking them if they went to China instead. LOL!
Nevertheless, we had to accept the fact that globalization had made China such a dominant force in manufacturing. It’s just not possible to avoid them.
This problem still seems faraway enough for me. Now it should be bedtime after some drinks with friend.

Today marks the one year anniversary since I start blogging. Life has been a twist and turn for the past 2 year and blogging is definitely one of them. Because of this, I get to meet lots of great friends like Alice, Jean, DK, Daphne, Nicole, Ridz many many more. Special thanks for Rui for rendering so much help for my blog.
I started out this blog inspired by my friend so as to use it as a tool to improve my English. Sad to say, it doesn’t really help much due to too informal language used like la lee lor leh. Blogging, to me, is also like a diary where I try to keep track of what I went through. Last but not least, blogging is in my blood and that makes me a bloody blogger.
I hope to continue blogging even though when I’m old like 60 and it will make me the few most tech-savvy grandpa at that time.

Extracted from BW
But now the economic and social distortions have begun to appear with rising inflation rates, numerous asset bubbles, looming overcapacity, and rampant institutionalized corruption. The Chinese government finds itself in a quandary. If the government allows its currency to rapidly appreciate to reduce inflation it will drive down exports and fuel unemployment. If it fails to quell inflation, social unrest will quickly unfold.
Now I understand why government is so afraid of inflation and the fine balance of maintaining the economy!

How does it concern me? Well, it’s just that I will need to open a bank account soon and I wouldn’t want the bank to close down. But wait… actually FICA do insure up to half a million for bank account in states.
I don’t think I will be earning half a million in next 4 months but still it would be assuring to know that the bank will still be there for you and not to go through all the paperwork to get your money back.

Yes of cos it should cos I’ve served like 7-10 tables for past few 2 days and only got 2 tips. And one of them tip like 25 cent. Keep in mind that in USA, tipping is a culture. It’s how bad it is. When things are not free, it’s very difficult to find a queue. They are also worried about spending too much on coffee and tea and etc

Science: Decision tires
According to this article, I seems that whe you use control towards stuff and in this example it’s food, you use up mental capacity. Reason is partly because when effort is needed to do something, it will naturally use up energy or effort.
Now I know why I did not do well during my studies in school!

The human mind is a remarkable device. Nevertheless, it is not without limits. Recently, a growing body of research has focused on a particular mental limitation, which has to do with our ability to use a mental trait known as executive function. When you focus on a specific task for an extended period of time or choose to eat a salad instead of a piece of cake, you are flexing your executive function muscles. Both thought processes require conscious effort-you have to resist the temptation to let your mind wander or to indulge in the sweet dessert. It turns out, however, that use of executive function—a talent we all rely on throughout the day—draws upon a single resource of limited capacity in the brain. When this resource is exhausted by one activity, our mental capacity may be severely hindered in another, seemingly unrelated activity. (See here and here.)
Imagine, for a moment, that you are facing a very difficult decision about which of two job offers to accept. One position offers good pay and job security, but is pretty mundane, whereas the other job is really interesting and offers reasonable pay, but has questionable job security. Clearly you can go about resolving this dilemma in many ways. Few people, however, would say that your decision should be affected or influenced by whether or not you resisted the urge to eat cookies prior to contemplating the job offers. A decade of psychology research suggests otherwise. Unrelated activities that tax the executive function have important lingering effects, and may disrupt your ability to make such an important decision. In other words, you might choose the wrong job because you didn’t eat a cookie.
Finally had rice
YES! I finally had my first taste of rice after almost 2 weeks and I’m really grateful for that T_T I’m very fortunate to had Ellison and Carlos, both adventure guide, to drive up to North Conway to do some shopping since Maria also need to bank in her cheque.
After much shopping in Walmart and Staples and North Eastern Mountain, we went to Friendly for our lunch. And there I had my grilled flounder which comes with rice!!!!
Yummy is just one of the word to describe it. And it comes with a free scoop of icecream too.
The only bad thing is that when we are paying for our meal, the power trip and the cash register won’t boot up correctly and we are in a rush back to AMC for work.
But still its a wonderful experience to dine in Friendly.

Rain rain go away
come again another day.
It’s been like raining for 4 straight days and yesterday was one of the heaviest I even seen.
It’s so fortunate for me to be basking in the sunshine when I wake up. I’m going to enjoy the day.
Today I will be doing some horse riding. I hope my wrist won’t give way.

Seems like our neighbour like to use Singapore as a laughing stock for human rights when their country ain’t even as well-run. Well, even though we are ranked low on human rights, at least we got a strong economy to endure us through this recession. Well, I hope so.
