Deleted from MSN

December 26th, 2007

Yongsoon sent me a link to check if any of my friends delete me from my msn. Ok la I think there’s no harm trying. I follow the instruction and found a list of people who deleted me.

Of all people I least expected is Reuben. I was stunned for a while then realised that he switched over to another account for msn quite a few years ago. Haha

Just wondering if this is accurate before I start to delete someone whom I’ve been controlling myself not to delete or block for almost a year. I will give myself 2 more days to find out.

Any opinion on this?

p.s: in the end, there’s only 12 people deleted me. not bad for a start.
p.s: thanks hendri for the link. appreciate it very much.

IMPT: Do not try this. You and your other friends will get spam unknowingly. On the other side, this service will allow you to know who delete you but not who block you.

I believe it works similarly to Blockoo, of which I had an analysis here:

    Part 0,
    Part 1,
    Part 2.

Anyway, bottom line is: it doesn’t work, and it’s better for you to change your MSN password ASAP just in case.

Hmm, I believe not much damage will be done, apart from spamming other accounts… but still err on the safer side… :)

These ‘unofficial’ sites are rather unsafe. U’ve given them your email and password to them. U won’t know what they will do to it. Changing of password after that doesn’t really help cos who knows, when the time u enter your email and password and click submit, they have already gone into your email and do something to your contacts or whatsoever.. 0.0

Guess what… I tried the BlockDelete service on my test account (Gorilla in the links I posted), and now my main account keeps on getting spammed by the test account every few hours–even without me using the service/test account anymore! O.o

nicole: i’m very safe unlike ….

km80: yup. so the best(and fastest) thing is to change your password and login(he will get logout). makes sense?

Yeah Block Delete is nothing but a scam that will in turn spam all your contacts in your list. If people do use this so called service make sure you change your password immediately and also a good thing to do is use Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool as well just in case they put something on your computer as well. This BlockDelete.com also used the alias Dont-Miss-This.com as well that redirects to Block Delete.

People should make all their contacts aware of this Block Delete scam thats going on as if one person becomes victim to this we will all get this spam if were in their contact list. If people do get this link people should ignore it and let the person know who sent it to you that their MSN Messenger account as been hacked in by this Block Delete person. Let them know what to do to take care of this so that we can try and stop others from being hacked into. If we all play a small part in informing people about this we can help others be aware of whats going on. Every little bit helps :-)
