Review: Forbidden Kingdom
I like the show because of ahem … Liu Yi Fei. Jokes aside, the storyline might be a bit far-fetch together with the inconsistent for the use of language (sometimes mandarin sometimes english) but the storyline is really interesting as well as the fighting scene between Jackie Chan and Jet Li.
When you have two kung-fu master in a movie, it’s just too good to be true when you have one of them is already a guaranteed box office.
With the two of them again, the fighting scene is already mouth-salivating.
When you have Liu Yi Fei, you will just kinda forgive the kind of English she’s speaking and every negative points you have for the movie (sorry, I still can’t accept her mentioning herself as her. Why not use me or I instead?).
Next comes the storyline. It is within one’s expectation (bcos I read the review) but still have some refreshing elements inside. But the problem is they anyhow anyhow switch language. Sometimes mandarin, sometimes english. Aiyo.
Verdict: A must watch (bcos other movie currently screening cmi) and I give it a 8 out of 10.
