Investment fraud?

July 3rd, 2008

Well like my previous post, I’ve tried to become more proactive and call her friend whom I got to know during a seminar and her wedding. She invited both of us.

I was initially quite hesistant about calling him cos I thought their business might still be in progress. And calling him to ask about her might be disrespectful to her.

Left with no option, I told him straight of my reason for calling and surprisingly he’s in the same situation as I am. She has not been replying him for the past few months.

Asking him about the deal he was given, she gave him a 90%. Walau eh. He mentioned that he was tempted many times with a lower offer until given a 90% return and agreed to invest in it partly because of his business dealing with him.

While he has kept sms exchanged with her and the transfer of money, I also did so just in case. We come to the conclusion of going to make a police report if she can’t give us a satisfactory reply.

But will it help? Will the police help in such a case? Is it a fraud? Or they’re playing in the gray areas? Continue to come back, more details will be out soon.
