In this video, while the 3 woman is so proud of their children, they definitely need something the 4th has. Just wondering why we don’t have such meaningful advertisement. Are we just about pursuing more monetary growth?

Coming across this post on fri midnight. Long this stock base on fundamental reason as stated from the post. Low debt, low density and undervalued. The way Warren Buffet would played.
From the Technical Analysis point of view, Trident Microsystem (TRID) seems to be mirroring China Sky. A stock that has been squeezed by the Bollinger Band for a long time. And it finally moved on Friday night. I expect this stock to start to trend up soon. For me, it’s like a gem in the rough, waiting to be polished.

Thanks to salary.sg for the information on top position in Singapore. Career management is a individual responsibility especially in Singapore. I was quite surprise that the pay of a IT personnel can be so high. It definitely change my perception. But that is if you’re the top 25 percentile, working for many years in banking sector. At least that’s my perception.
And for my current job as a computer engineer. I only can expect myself to earn $5281 even as the very best. Time for thought.

Religion joke
While on a 10-hour drive to the next town, my boss and I were feeling sleeping, exhausted by the meetings and hosted dinners of the past days.
Suddenly he said to me, “What is your religion?”
I quickly collected my self, “Sir, I am a Christian, and baptised at a very young age as a Methodist”
He went on, since I offer no further comments, “Do you know what I believe in?”
“No, I don’t”
He said “I go to church, I believe in Allah and I also observe the Indian religious activities.”
“Won’t that be confusing?”
He similed, “It is like buying insurance. One of them must be correct”

City Spring just gave dividends rights issue and on that particular day, the stocks plunged from 80 cents to 60 cents. It had the same behavior as any other REITS - real estate investment trust. For those who uses dividend reinvestment strategy.
It is a good time to enter with the current support holding. It just reminds me of Capitacomm. It’s been testing my patience for more than 3 months or so. Definitely something not for trading. Today finally make its move. and if the stock close above 0.92. It might signal start of new trend.

Many people has the misconception that the secreatry’s job is to sit on her boss’s lap. Make him coffee, bring him sandwiches, just like Betty from Ugly Betty. I though to myself, how difficult could it be?
How wrong it turned out. I am drowned by so much paperwork that I am going to vomit blood and die.
Because the NUS Toastmasters Club is such a successful club, there was a gush of new members who were eager to join! The executive committee and I were really excited, because it showed that our marketing efforts paid off.
400 eager freshman showed interest in joining our club. WOW! And when i realized i had to consolidate these names and type them out, i also exclaimed ‘WOW!’
Then the following meeting when we open registration, there were about 70 people joining us. WOW! Yes, then i realized i had to type out their names and register them in DETAIL, i also exclaimed ‘WOW!’
Now, I am half dead and half blind with paralysed fingers, i came to realize the workload of a secretary.. WOW!

It’s a tough trading week. Not much of a movement except penny stock. Blue chip seems overpriced from the look of market volume. Analyst and traders are cautious and this may explain the quiet market.
Sold off Frasercomm with some profit. Wanted to get out of Capitacomm because this stock seems stuck at the symmetrical triangle without any sign of going in either direction. Most stock in STI is showing bearish divergence. A correction may be overdue.
While I hope the market will show more clear signal, I realized it’s a good time to enter Shanghai market due to their drastic correction which finished a few days ago. But it does have a short term gap that needs to overcome.
Looking out for Genting in particular to trade.

Quite a interesting video. Watch this with open mind
Invasion of the GF!
It has been forever since I last written something here. Have been really really busy the last 3 months. So much for my summer holidays.
School has started last week and it has been a bitter sweet experience. Sweet because I am taking very interesting topics like Sociology of Family, Lab on interpersonal relationship, etc. Bitter because I have to put on hold the things I have been doing during my holidays.
What have I been doing?
I set 3 simple things for myself at the start of my holidays.
1. Magic
I really need to hibernate and up my magic skill. Meeting various people with the same interest has dawn light onto something about me. I am not a perfectionist. As magicians, we have to be perfect. Correct angle, correct lightings, correct words, correct handling, etc. I have been neglecting this subtle issue as I continued on my quest for more magic tricks. So I strived to perfect everything I know.
Also Magicians are suppose to be creative people. I need to devise tricks that are really my own. Not ripped from some tape or DVD. Consolidate everything that I know and put them together into a seamless performance.
2. Training/Toastmasters
Public speaking has been an area that I want to improve on. So during the holidays, I took this opportunity to step things up! Presented more speeches and practised more before I spoke. The result was exhilarating. Especially when you nailed the speech on the spot and audiences understood your intentions, makes you want to do more! And that was what I did.
Training students to help them improve their public speaking skills was eye opening. Because I had the luxury of sharing my knowledge and experience to change student’s perception and phobias of public speaking. It was a personal achievement when I saw that the students were motivated to stand up and speak up!
3. Tuition
During the semester, I do not have the time to plan out proper lessons for my tuition students, and I could not give them intensive tuition because of time constrain. So I wanted to take the 3 months and gave them my all in tutoring. Extra lessons, bringing their work home to mark was tiring. Especially when I had to travel from East to West, and adding on to Toastmaster, training and magic!
Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
During my holidays especially in July, platoz and i hardly had time to meet up (considering he works now and is free evenings and weekends) (My evenings are taken up by tuition, magic busking and toastmasters! Sunday - church). It seems like some long drama serial where the boy and girl are always missing each other. Haha..
Miss you baby!

Market correction
STI has started correction on wednesday. And quite expected, NDP effect has took place. Seems like everyone knows about it and starts taking profit on Wednesday. There’s a possibility that there will be correction of another 100 points.
Personally, it would be quite tough cos that would be a trend reversal if it hits a lower low. From trend pattern, it might look like a double top. Hopefully the correction will take place since I did not have too much of a position in the market right now. Waiting to bottom fishing Genting and Golden Agri so as to enter at a better risk/reward.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been missing in action in the blogosphere but do not worry, I’m still kicking and alive. Work has been extremely busy and OT has become a norm for the past 3 weeks. And yes even today, on Saturday, I’ve even had to return to office. This week, I’m like half dead cos OT 4 days consecutively ain’t really fun. I can vouch it’s really draining.
I’m quite fortunate to have an understanding partner. Felt quite bad neglecting her cos everyday after work reach home settle down is already almost 12. Yes and settling down including doing my homework of analyzing stock market.
Today, I’m quite encouraged to see the team back to office rushing for deadline. Well at least got my team mates around. And one even blasted the national day song out loud. Sometimes, you can’t really judge a person love for country by her looks.
I like my job. It gives me the satisfaction of achieving the milestone. Though I think I’m still underpaid given I spent half a day in office everyday. At the same time, climbing the corporate ladder might be a bit too long and my pay won’t really catch up with my peers until I’m well in my 40s. Right now, I’m still quite happy with the work I’m doing. Hopefully more challenge comes along to push me ahead.
